Sir Jackie Stewart is an honorary Australian having raced here in the Tasman Cup in the 60’s before going on to win three Formula 1 World Championships. He has played a profound role in the development of his chosen sport as a driver, safety advocate, team owner and mentor to many – and he has been a part of our lives for over six decades.

To coincide with the 2022 Melbourne Grand Prix, Australia celebrates this unique icon of motorsport in style on the evening of Friday 8 April at Centrepiece, Melbourne Park and those fortunate enough to attend this once in a lifetime event will be joined by Formula 1 personalities for an unforgettable dinner designed by a leading Melbourne chef and enjoy fine wines and entertainment.

Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on a host of special auction items and proceeds raised will support Sir Jackie’s charity, Race Against Dementia.

Help win the race against dementia

Sadly, Sir Jackie’s wife of 57 years, Lady Helen Stewart, has been struck by dementia and Sir Jackie is facing his greatest challenge yet – his quest to find a cure for the epidemic that now afflicts more than 50 million people worldwide.

In typical fashion, Sir Jackie is tackling this challenge head on and is determined to combine the world’s best research programs with the application of Formula 1 problem solving techniques in order to achieve his goal.

In 2022, and in association with Dementia Australia, Race Against Dementia’s global research effort will be bolstered by the funding of ground breaking research here in Australia and your contribution can make a massive difference.
